Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? (Luke 15:3–6) This project is inspired by the biblical quote from the Gospel of Luke (15:3-6), where the sheep symbolises both the individual and the nation. The question is: how is it possible to get lost when the shepherd is in front of you? The answer to this question is human inattention, stupidity and the tendency to stray from the right path – the path of truth, health and moral values – for the sake of fleeting recognition and earthly applause. To lose one’s way is not only to go astray physically, but also to go astray spiritually, to lose the deeper meaning and purpose of existence. The project explores the state of being lost, of running away from problems and of constantly searching for something that we desperately need but do not know what we are actually looking for.
